The Sun was setting on a glorious day in Sydney and the exquisite Inglis Stables made for a perfect setting for the School For Life (S4L) charity event.
Guests gathered for an evening of cocktails and entertainment while raising funds for the S4L secondary school development project in Uganda.
Hosted by Sarah Harris (Channel Nine Journalist), the evening kicked off with live music and a thrilling horse auction with spirited bidders making very generous donations.
TVN host Dean Petitt continued the banter with a phantom race call featuring the auctioned horses which were cheered on by the rowdy punters in the crowd.
In a photo finish call that had the crowd in suspense, Black Caviar triumphed over the fast finishing Phar Lap in an absolute nail biter.
There were raffles, silent auctions, croquet and even a Psy impersonator (Gangnam Style fame) . Fillies Form got involved by purchasing 2 bricks to assist in the building of accommodation for the teacher’s at S4L.
The inspirational School For Life Co-founder, Annabelle Chauncy spoke of her experiences working in Uganda, the goals being achieved by her organisation and the charity effort’s to support the cause.
The dedication and enthusiasm shown by Annabelle and fellow founder Dave Everitt (absent) to providing education to children in Uganda touched all in the room.
We had a great time and were happy to contribute to such a worthy cause. Keep and eye out for charity event’s run by School4Life on Twitter and Facebook.
