Traditional Bush Racing This Weekend With the Annual Pooncarie Cup

With a long and proud history, the Pooncarie Racing Club was established in 1891 with the annual Pooncarie Cup held on the Saturday of the October Labour Day long weekend.

Travel out to the township of Pooncarie on the Darling River, less than 140 kilometres north east of Mildura and enjoy a family day out at an Outback Race Meet.

There will be bookmakers and a TAB on course taking bets on local and interstate racing. There are six races in all and entry fee includes a Race Book.  Free entry for under 16s and pensioners receive a discount. Entertainment includes a jumping castle for the children and food and refreshments available throughout the day.

The Pooncarie Cup is an enjoyable unique outback experience with traditional bush racing.
